RiseUp Fitness is Safely Open! 

It is our top priority to serve our members while keeping our community, staff, and trainers safe. We have developed procedures above and beyond the state and federal guidelines to ensure the best, safest experience possible for everyone at RiseUp Fitness. 


You can review the changes and updates to our policies below. We are constantly revising our protocols to comply with the highest standards set by the government and health organizations, and we will keep this page updated to the latest operations. 


Health Check 

  • All RiseUp trainers and staff will be screened daily for fever, cough, and shortness of breath and we will ensure sick employees stay home. 

  • We ask all members to monitor their health status and not attend the gym if they are feeling AT ALL unwell. 


New Policies

  • In order to provide the best and safest experience for every member, you are required to reserve class in advance, using the Mindbody system on our website, or the Mindbody app which you can download at the Apple App Store or on Google Play

  • In order to keep reservations open for all members, for now, only ONE class may be reserved per day, per member. If more than one class per day is booked both reservations will be removed in the system.  If you would like to wait standby for a second class, you may do so and will be checked in by the teacher at the start of the class.

  • RiseUp Fitness has a 4-hour cancellation window prior to the beginning of class, and late cancellation or no-shows will incur a fee. Please see the Reservations Policy for full details.​

  • In Santa Barbara and Goleta:

    • Extra sanitation measures have been implemented between classes. 

    • All members shall wear a mask between workout stations. 

    • All machines will be wiped down after use.​
    • All windows and fans will be on for maximum air flow


When You Arrive

  • We ask that members arrive on time and, please line up outside of Riseup Fitness on the socially distanced markers. The trainer will allow you to enter when the outdoor studio is ready.

  • Contactless check-in will be provided. 

  • A clean towel and sanitized bottle containing a disinfectant cleaner for surfaces (we will be using Simple Green d Pro 5 which has been proven effective against SARS-CoV2, the virus that causes Covid-19) will be provided to each member.

  • You will be directed to your station. 

  • Any rotation time provided will be generous to allow for the thorough disinfection of surfaces. 

Additional Cleaning and Disinfecting Protocols

  • After each class, doors will be locked to allow adequate time for disinfection of all equipment and common surfaces. 

  • RiseUp staff will be using Clear Gear (a top-grade disinfectant solution designed for fitness studios and equipment) to thoroughly sanitize all surfaces between classes.

  • In addition, floors and other non-exercise surfaces will be deep-cleaned and disinfected multiple times per day.
