During our last round of Simple30, we prioritized holistic wellness – that is, the health of our bodies AND our minds.
Emma Rollin Moore gave a wonderful presentation during the program that helped us to understand how setting morning and evening rhythms could support both our physical and mental health.
In a research-backed talk, she discussed integrating a few key aspects into our morning and evening routines, including tech-free time, mindfulness, intention-setting, belly and box breathing, and movement.
Emma provided some valuable insights into how these choices and changes affect us, particularly the quality of our sleep and rest. She led us through a few practice rounds of breathing, and gave approachable steps to begin making small but significant positive changes.
Our world (especially the online one) has spent years pushing “the grind” – often at the expense of our health, leading to consequences like burnout, and actually working us backwards!
The Simple30 2.0 program guides us to work smarter over harder, and choose to prioritize all aspects of our health (including our mental health!) by setting goals for nutrition and exercise, but also for mindfulness. It provides guidance and helps participants to discover new rhythms to make their lives better – all around!
